The story of the seed
From Kalamundua to Genehtik’s most famous seed
Basque breeder David Merino selected the original Critical Bilbo clone in the late 1990s at Kalamundua, the first growshop in the Basque Country (Somera street, Bilbao). It came from an Afghana × Skunk hybrid: a sweet, intense-aroma phenotype that he cloned and kept.
In 2003 he founded Genehtik Seeds and the Ortue distributor. The feminized seed is Kritikal (with a K, a Basque mark); the original clone is Critical Bilbo. It won High Life Barcelona 2004 as Critical de Ortue. Easy, fast, with an unmistakable palate.
